Shipping Fees
We offer flat-rate shipping across Canada and the United States, with free shipping on qualifying orders. Please refer to the table below for specific rates and free shipping thresholds. For regions not covered by standard shipping, please contact us directly to arrange your order.

When will I receive my fish?
Orders are typically shipped within 1-3 business days of purchase. At checkout, you’ll be able to select a preferred delivery day. Please choose a day when you’ll be home to receive your seafood.
You’ll receive a tracking email once your order has shipped, and it will arrive frozen.

How do you package the fish?
Our fish is vacuum sealed and frozen. We pack our fish in styrofoam coolers with frozen gel packs. The coolers are then packed in carboard boxes to ensure safe travel.
Does St. Jean’s ship outside of Canada and the USA?
We do—with certain restrictions for some parts of the world. Please call us at 1-866-754-3191 (request the shipping department) for inquiries or to make arrangements.
Can I order once or do I need a subscription?
At this time we only offer one-time delivery options. We are working on a subscription service and hopefully have something in place in the near future.
Do I need an account to place an order?
You can place an order without an account, but we recommend creating one for a faster checkout experience in the future. With an account, you can easily track your order history and manage subscriptions. Creating an account is quick and simple—get started here.
What is the minimum order amount?
To place an order, a minimum purchase of $99 is required. This ensures we can efficiently process and ship your order while maintaining the quality and freshness of our products.
Can I buy your products in store?
You can purchase our products at our retail locations: Nanaimo, Delta, YVR Vancouver Airport – South Terminal (Richmond), Port Alberni, and Campbell River. Most of our products are also available for purchase online at stjeans.com or can be ordered by phone, 1-866-754-3191. We do have special seasonal products and sales that are in-store only, so please drop on by and say hello!
If you are dissatisfied with your order for any reason, please contact us right away and we’ll figure out the best way to straighten out the problem. You can return your unopened non-perishable retail items within 30 days for a prompt refund or exchange. Unfortunately, the original shipping charges are not refundable. Please mail your return in a prepaid, traceable package to:

What is the shelf life of you frozen fish?
Our vacuum-packed fish, kept frozen, has a shelf life of approximately 18 months before the quality begins to degrade. Please note that vacuum-packing does not prolong freshness after the fish has been thawed.
What is the best way to thaw my frozen fish?
Break the vacuum-seal (cut open the package) and thaw your fish overnight in the refrigerator. Once thawed, it should be consumed within three days.
What kind of wood do you use to smoke your salmon, tuna, and oysters?
Family secret! We can say that it is all-natural hardwood.
